Glass Beaded Projection Screens. Tiny beads are spread out to a fabric backing. Viewing is clearer within the center (axis) and has narrower viewing angles. It is said that glass beaded projection screen are less clear to view, but this depends. The size of the beads have an effect on the clarity of the images. Back then, the beads used for projector screens were quite large. These days, further research has pointed the optimal size for the glass beads. Glass beaded screens can compete with visual clarity just as efficiently as the other types of screen fabrics. Check with the seller about gain, contrast and color accuracy if interested in a glass beaded screen. To clean glass beaded projection surfaces, do not use water, soap or other liquid chemicals. Dust carefully with a soft rag.
2. Vinyl Projection Screen - The Projection screen is 100% vinyl and not attached to any backing. Vinyl Projection Screens have high gain and excellent contrast. Flatness of surface is uniform and constant. Look for Vinyl material when you need portable or folding projection screens. Vinyl screens are generally washable with water and mild chemicals. Do not use wax or abrasive cleaners.
